Most of our fabrics are sourced from across Asia, with many coming from leading textile producers in countries like Taiwan, Japan, China, and South Korea and some of our designer deadstock are from Europe from countries like Italy, France and Portugal, . The exact country of origin can vary by style, so feel free to reach out if you need this information for a specific fabric.

No, we cannot ship to PO Boxes, Private Bags, APO/ FPO/DPO addresses, and military bases.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Accepted Answer

Typically 2 - 3 weeks from the date you ordered.  During holiday or peak season, please allow more time for orders to arrive.Orders are typically processed within 48 hours and tracking will be avaialble 5-7 days after your order. After that, delivery usually takes 2 weeks, depending on your country and shipping method. All parcels are shipped internationally from our warehouse, and transit time may vary slightly based on customs processing and carrier schedules.

For retail and sample orders, we usually ship folded in a parcel. For bulk orders, fabric is usually shipped on a roll. However, depending on the destination country or special requests, we may fold large orders into cartons instead.

Yes, we can ship to third-party garment factories. Please provide the address and contact details when placing your order.

I am from the U.S. will I need to pay extra duty and taxes?

No, we ship to the U.S. all duties paid so you won't be expected to pay anything extra.

Why do I need to provide a short address for Saudi Arabia?

Effective from January 1, 2026, all parcels shipped to Saudi Arabia must include a valid Saudi National Address, also known as the Short Address. Orders without a valid Short Address may experience delays or delivery failure. See our guide on how to obtain your short address.

Yes. Our products are re-orderable. You can also contact us if you want to be sure that there is enough availability with the swatch or sample you are ordering.If, by any chance, the ordered product is unable to be reproduced (e.g., surplus fabric or discontinued items), our customer service team will provide you with a replacement link and all the necessary details.

While we don't typically supply other types of binding (like interfacing or elastic), we’re happy to support bulk order clients with special sourcing requests. In most cases, your fabric will be sent in continuous yardage. If for any reason continuous yardage isn’t possible, we’ll reach out in advance to confirm and ensure you have enough fabric for your layout. We do our best to minimize any color discrepancies, but color can vary depending on your device settings. If color accuracy is critical for your project, we strongly recommend ordering 1 yard sample to confirm before committing to a larger order.

What is GSM and how does it compare to oz/yd²?

GSM (grams per square metre) measures fabric weight in metric. To convert, 1 oz/yd² is approximately 33.9 GSM. We provide a conversion chart up to 900 GSM for easy reference.

What shrinkage should I expect from different fabrics?

Our fabrics are not pre-washed, so slight shrinkage may occur after washing. Here's a general guideline by fiber type:Cotton: 5–10%Lyocell/Tencel: 3–6%Viscose/Rayon: 10–15%Silk: 5–10%Linen: 5–10%Ramie: 3–6%Hemp: 5–8%Polyester/Nylon: Less than 3%Cupro: 5–10%We always recommend pre-washing and testing a sample piece before starting your project. For bulk production orders, please ensure your shrinkage tolerance is accounted for in your pattern and planning process.

Can I dye or print the fabrics myself?

Yes, you can — but please let us know in advance if you’re planning to dye a fabric. Some fabrics are specifically produced as PFD (Prepared For Dye) or PFP (Prepared For Print).﻿We highly recommend choosing from our wide range of in-stock colorways whenever possible, especially for bulk orders. It saves time and ensures color consistency across your production.If dyeing is necessary, it’s best to start with natural white or white fabrics and test with sample yardage first. Most of our fabrics are treated with softener only — no brighteners or other agents unless noted on the product page. Always test to confirm compatibility with your dyeing method.

Are your fabrics pre-washed?

No, our fabrics are not pre-washed unless stated otherwise on the product listing. Most of our materials come directly from the mill in their finished state, and we always recommend pre-washing your fabric before cutting or sewing, especially for natural fibers like cotton, linen, or rayon, which may shrink.If shrinkage is a concern for your project, feel free to ask us about the typical shrinkage rate for a particular fabric.

What is the cuttable width of your fabrics?

The cuttable width refers to the usable width of the fabric after accounting for the selvage edges. You can find the fabric width listed on each product page under “Width.” To determine the cuttable width, simply subtract 5 cm from the listed width.For example, if the width is stated as 150 cm, the cuttable width would be approximately 145 cm.

Can you dye fabrics to a custom color?

Custom dyeing is possible for select styles, depending on the fabric type and minimum order quantity. Most custom dye orders require at least 100 yards or more. Since many of our fabrics are available in multiple ready-made colorways, we always recommend starting by exploring options that are already close to your desired shade. This can help reduce lead time, cost and uncertainty.

Can you apply special treatments like waterproofing or UPF to fabrics?

Yes, we can offer special treatments such as DWR (durable water repellent), waterproof coatings, UPF (sun protection), custom colors, and custom prints but this depends on the fabric style and your order quantity. These treatments are generally only available for bulk orders and may require a minimum of 100 yards or more. Please get in touch with us to confirm feasibility based on the specific fabric you’re interested in.

Do you provide fabric certifications?

If the fabric you are ordering is from a mill that holds certifications (such as OEKO-TEX, GOTS, or others), we can provide these documents when you place a bulk order. Every fabric is very different, and you can find our fabric care guide for most of the popular fabrics.Important: Yardblox does not accept responsibility for fabrics that are incorrectly laundered/damaged by following these instructions. Customers must test a swatch before laundering any fabrics at home to avoid damaging the goods.

Are the fabrics cut to the exact length I ordered?

For sampling and retail orders, our fabrics are hand-cut and may have a slight variance (typically within 10cm).  Usually we would provide a little more than what was ordered.

What direction does the grainline run on your fabrics?

For all of our fabrics, the primary grainline (also known as the warp or lengthwise grain) runs along the length of the roll, parallel to the selvage.The crosswise grain (weft) runs across the width of the fabric, from selvage to selvage.This grain direction is consistent across our fabric collections.

What does “certification may or may not apply depending on fabric content” mean?

The certifications shown on a product page reflect the certifications held by the factory that produces the fabric.Some certifications, such as OEKO-TEX, apply broadly across eligible fabrics and indicate that the material has been tested for harmful substances.Other certifications, such as organic certifications (e.g. GOTS), apply only when the specific fabric meets the required criteria, for example when the fiber content is certified organic.If a fabric is not made from organic fibers, the organic certification does not apply to that specific fabric, even if the producing factory holds that certification.For confirmation, always refer to the fiber content and product description listed on the fabric page.

Are your fabrics in stock?

Yes, most of the fabrics listed on our website are part of our in-stock program, meaning they are available for immediate sampling and ordering. However, some styles or colorways may be temporarily out of stock or under re-production depending on demand and availability.For wholesale orders, we always recommend checking with our team to confirm stock and roll size, as inventory can change frequently. If a style is not currently in stock, we’ll let you know the expected restock date or offer suitable alternatives.

Can I amend/cancel my order after I've checked out?

We will do our best to help you with your order requests, however not all types of orders can be modified or cancelled.We may be able to modify or cancel your Swatch Order if it has not been shipped or scheduled to be shipped. Please contact us for assistance.Unfortunately, we are unable to modify or cancel any other fabric orders (Including Bulk Orders). We're really quick at notifying our suppliers which means we can't make any changes once you've placed it. This includes changing the delivery option, delivery address or payment method. Once the fabric is cut, we unfortunately are not able to modify or cancel the order as it is custom cut to your specific order.

What is your return policy?

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges for incorrect purchases or change of mind once fabric has been cut because the majority of our fabrics are limited-quantity and custom cut based on order specifications. If you have any other issues with your fabric, please refer to our Return Policy.

I’ve received a faulty or defected item, what should I do?

At Yardblox, we have a strict quality control process and all products are inspected before shipping to our customers. In the unlikely event that your fabric is defected, please go to our Quality Control page, and see whether your fabric condition is categorized as a major defect. We are happy to exchange your item if any major defects exist, head over to our Returns Policy for more details.

What if there are small flaws in the fabric I receive?

Minor flaws can sometimes occur during production and are difficult to avoid entirely. We recommend allowing for a small margin of wastage especially for bulk orders, we suggest planning for at least 5% extra. Light marks or creases usually disappear after washing and pressing, and small flaws can typically be worked around during cutting. When we detect any issues, we often include a bit of extra fabric and note this on the fabric label. Please check the label upon receipt and plan your cutting layout accordingly.
